What it does

From raw screenshot to designed image, in two clicks.

Capture the visible area, a selected region, or the full scrolling page. Annotate, blur, and style it in a fast canvas editor, then copy or download. Every pixel is processed locally in your browser.

Capture
visible area · region · full page
Annotate
arrows, text, pen, highlighter
Numbered steps
1-2-3 badges for tutorials
Blur
permanent pixelation, not an overlay
Beautify
gradients, padding, corners, shadow
Export
clipboard · PNG · JPEG

Screenshots often contain emails, API keys, customer data, and private messages. Shotglow is built so that data physically cannot leave your computer, because there is nothing to upload it to.

How it works

Capture to paste in under 15 seconds.

01 / CAPTURE

One click or one hotkey

Grab the visible area, drag to select a region with live pixel dimensions, or capture the whole scrolling page.

02 / EDIT

Annotate & blur

Arrows, boxes, text, numbered steps. Drag over anything sensitive and it's pixelated permanently. The blur is baked into the exported pixels, never a removable layer.

03 / SHIP

Style & export

Add a gradient frame, padding, rounded corners, and shadow. Copy to clipboard or download as PNG/JPEG. No watermark.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Correct. Capture, editing, and export all happen locally in your browser. Shotglow has no image servers, no account, and no analytics. The only network request it ever makes is an anonymous install counter, never your images or page content. See the privacy policy for the complete list.

No. Some editors draw blur as a removable overlay on top of the image, and anyone with the file can peel it off. Shotglow pixelates the actual pixels at a strength that cannot be reconstructed, so what you blur stays blurred.

Yes, every current feature is free with no watermark. Some advanced features (like full-page scrolling capture) will become part of a paid Pro tier later, but everyone who installs before that flip gets Pro free for life.

Alt+Shift+V captures the visible area, Alt+Shift+R starts a region selection, and Alt+Shift+F captures the full page. All of them can be rebound at chrome://extensions/shortcuts, and the editor has single-key tool shortcuts plus 50 steps of undo.
